Lowering kits for motorcycles can be categorized in a few main grups based on their type. Lowering links "dogbones" and lowering brackets. Lowering links differ in length, width and material depending on bike/motorcycle make. Lowering brackets is an own kind of lowering kit, that instead of containing a new suspension lowering link or suspesion lowering links contain two suspension mounting brackets. The brackets move the front fixing point of the suspension link, and works in the same way as a traditional "dogone" even if the tecknical implementation is different. On bikes with multi-link rear suspensions that uses only one wide aluminum link this solution provides a stronger and cheaper solution for lowering the motorcycle.
